Band Requirements
The Southsiders
Because of the variety of places we find ourselves playing at, we have found that setting
fees and rules both doesn't work, and is not fair to smaller churches and groups.  So, we
will verbally negotiate all aspects of an event with your coordinator.  Email us at
info@thesouthsiders.com to get the process started.
Overhead Video Projector:
We have a VGA video projector and 10' wide screen, currently with no capabilities for
freestand hanging.  Our laptop will have the Powerpoint slides of the words for our
songs, or if you would want to tap into it for running videos.  We do not have a video
mixing adapter or VGA switch.
The folowing is a list of equipment we own and can bring to your event or
service if you do not have your own equipment.
PA System:
We own a tri-amped, 24 channel sound system suitable for indoor or outdoor use,
however we prefer to run it in bi-amped mode.  We have 2 large Bass Bins, and 2 sets
of dual range speaker cabinets.  We do not have portable  AC power generation
capability.  Our snake is limited to 100', 16 XLR and 4 1/4" channels.  We have a dual
output monitor system with up to 6 speaker boxes.
Lighting:
We currently own a multi color spotlight, and no other lighting equipment.
PA Requirements:

Jim Beshears, Drums, Vocals:
Tony Fornaciari, Keyboards:
Jim Kessler, Rhythm Guitar, Lead Vocals:
Fred Martin, Bass Guitar, Vocals:
Jill Runyan, Lead Vocals, Piano:

Each instrument has their own amplifier, including the Roland V-Drum Set.  All
vocal microphones must include boom stands.  Two additional boom stand
mounted microphones are required for the cymbals on the V-Drum set.  The
drummer provides his own headset microphone.  A seperate monitor speaker
is required for the drummer and keyboardist.  Depending on stage size, a
minimum of two, preferably three monitor speakers spaced equally across the
front of the stage is required.  An additional DI box input for an Acoustic
guitar is required.  For large or outdoor events, it is recommended to mic
each amplifier.
Costs:

The Southsiders is a non-profit outreach ministry of South Side Christian Church in
Munster, Indiana.  All proceeds go back into sustaining the ministry, purchasing and
upkeep of equipment, transportation, lodging, rental of any necessary items, etc.  The
band members donate their time and efforts to keep the ministry going and are not paid.
Our prices are based on the type, location and size your event, and whether we have to
provide the PA equipment and soundperson.
