The Southsiders
What We Believe:
South Side Christian Church is a non denominational Christian
church that believes in the preachings and teachings of Jesus
Christ. At South Side we focus on living life and building
relationships the way Jesus did. When playing for other
churches and groups, we fully respect your customs and beliefs.
We will not play a song that may offend your congregation or
group, in fact we ask that you help us plan your songlist. We
also ask that you inform us of any special customs you may have
while we play for you to prevent any problems. At South Side we
routinely strive to associate and congregate with people of
other faiths and beliefs. We believe that it is our responsibility
as believers to associate with other believers in God so that we
can help each other carry out The Great Commission - our
Ministry is based on that.

What We Do and How We Started:
The Southsiders is an outreach ministry of
South Side Christian Church in Munster,
Indiana. Around 1995 South Side started
offering a contemporary worship service with
a live band, playing the limited amount of live
worship songs available at the time. After
seeing the successes and problems involved
with starting a live music service, The
Southsiders began playing at other churches
interested in live worship. From there it has
grown to playing at conventions, county fairs,
festivals, church events, seed church
services, coffee houses, camps, youth rallies,
and public venues where clean themes,
language, and "family friendly" music is
required. Over the years we have worked to
make ourselves as good at leading a worship
service as playing at a concert or convention.
Our song list has grown to over 170 songs,
and we get most of our new material from
hearing songs on the radio and picking
material from our Worship Leader
subscriptions of the newest songs on the
Christian market. And also from you! We ask
that if you have a song you want us to play for
you let us know and we will learn it for your
event.

an Elder at South Side.
Jill Runyon: Lead Vocals, Piano.
Fred Martin: Bass Guitar. Fred is also a Deacon at South Side
Tony Forniciari: Keyboardist.
Jim Beshears: Drums and Percussion. Jim is also an Elder and
youth sponsor at South Side.
