At South Side, we are building more than a church. We are building a
family.
South Side is a place where people can feel comfortable. It doesn’t
matter if you’re a long time church attender, or if you’ve never attended
church at all. We do our best to make people feel welcome, like part of
a family, and both our contemporary and traditional church services
reflect that. Friendly people, lively worship, and challenging messages
combine with a warm atmosphere to make South Side a place people
enjoy coming to and making a church home at.
South Side isn’t about practicing religion. At South Side, you'll find we
focus on living life the way Jesus did. We’re all about creating and
nurturing personal relationships. . .with God and with one another.
Sunday morning at South Side offers members and guests two
services. At 9:00 a.m., our contemporary service provides a relaxed
dress atmosphere, great music from a live worship band, and inspiring,
thought provoking messages. At 10:30 a.m., our traditional service
provides familiar hymns, special music from our talented choir, and the
same great message enjoyed by the contemporary service. South Side
offers a fully staffed nursery. Sunday school classes for all ages are
offered during both services. Sunday night you'll find children's groups,
youth groups, and adult small groups.
Our congregation consists of people from all over the Northwest Indiana
and South Chicago Metro area, and our location is easily accessible. If
coming from the North or off I-80/94, take the first Indiana exit,
Calumet Avenue, South. Go to Broadmoor, ( 3 stoplights past the
expressway by Target's), turn left (east), and drive down 3 or 4 blocks
until you reach the church. Coming from the South, drive North on
Calumet Avenue to Broadmoor (by Target's) turn right (east), and drive
down 3 or 4 blocks until you reach the church.
